Skinners’ Academy celebrates an 11% rise in our 2016 GCSE results

There is much to celebrate in our GCSE results for 2016. We are delighted that the achievement of our pupils rose by 11% over our results last year with 65% of the 2016 cohort accomplishing 5A*-C grades (including English and Maths). Better still, this cohort have surpassed their own KS2 predicted GCSE target by 16% and achieved an average of half a grade higher than their expected target grade.

Exceptional results came from Art, Physics and Further Maths who for a second year in a row achieved 100% A*-C grades and were joined by Biology and Religious Studies. Particularly encouraging results came from Chemistry (97% A*-C), Economics (over 91% A*-C), Geography and Home Languages (over 80% A*-C).
