11th June, 2019

Starting to think about interesting activities for your teen this summer?

See below for details from the organisers of the East Education 2019 Summer School:

If you’re aged 13-16, and live in Newham, Hackney, Waltham Forest or Tower Hamlets, why not sign up for the FREE East Education Summer School at Here East in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park? From one-off classes to a full week of activity, there are lots of great sessions, full of unique experiences, ideas and inspiration – and it’s a great chance to meet new people and have fun!

Summer School courses are being delivered by world-leading organisations. For example, at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, we are creating a new exciting cultural and education district – East Bank – which will see UCL, UAL’s London College of Fashion, the BBC, Sadler’s Wells and the V&A in partnership with the Smithsonian Institution expand their offer to east London. Ahead of these world class institutions arriving here, they wish to work with local young people in east London as part of this high quality summer school programme. Other organisations involved include Studio Wayne McGregor, Badu, the British Council, The Yard Theatre, Breakin’ Convention, Stratford Circus and Loughborough University London.

Applications are now open and will close on 12 July 2019 (though early applications are recommended)

The Summer School will take place at:
