Admissions & Appeals

Appeals for Year 12 places for September 2020
In the event of a place not being offered at Skinners’ Academy, the applicant has the right of appeal to an independent appeals panel.
Appeal forms and other information may be emailed to (preferred method) or posted to Clerk to the Independent Appeal Panel, PO Box 367, Cuffley, Herts, EN6 4XZ by 4pm on Thursday 27 August 2020 to guarantee that your appeal will be heard within the first weeks of September. You MUST state the reasons for your appeal and supply any documentary evidence at this stage.
Please note the timetable is very short to enable those appellants who win appeals to start as early into the school year as possible. The Appeals Form is available here and a leaflet explaining the appeals process is here. The appeal date will be during the month of September.
Applications for Sixth Form places made other than in the course of the normal admissions round
These must be made through the sixth form online applications system. Such applications will be dealt with as they are received, and a reply will be made within 15 school days. (We are using a new applications system however and if you don’t hear within that time, please contact us on to enquire further).
The last day for lodging an appeal following a refusal for a place mid-term is 20 school days following receipt of your letter of refusal. You MUST state the reasons for your appeal and supply documentary evidence at this stage. Appeal forms and other information may be emailed or posted to Clerk to the Independent Appeal Panel, PO Box 367, Cuffley, Herts, EN6 4XZ. Appeals are held within 30 school days of the receipt of the appeal form.
