Year 6 Transition
Year 6 Transition - July 2020
Transition into secondary school is a vital process and we want to do everything we can to support you and your child during this time however, due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic the transition process has been adjusted to take into account social distancing rules.
Over the new few weeks the following Transition events will take place which you are all invited to:
2nd July at 11am:
Transition Assembly via Zoom. A chance to meet some of the key staff at Skinners’ Academy and to share personal coat of arms (included with this pack).
3rd July at 11am:
Virtual Coffee Morning for new parents. A chance to ask questions about transition and what to expect from secondary school.
10th July at 11am:
Virtual Coffee Morning for new parents for any who were unable to attend the previous week or who have new questions.
The details of these Zoom meetings will be texted and emailed to you directly to ensure greater online security.
As well as this, we will host an on-site Transition Day in September which will include more opportunities for pupils and staff to get to know each other. We will also offer 1:1 parent meetings in September, although the format in which these will take place will be dependent on the government guidelines at the time.
Thank you for your support and we look forward to your child joining us in September.
