YEAR 13 STUDENT

Studying BTEC Business has allowed me to develop my communication and research skills which are both essential for future studies at university. This course has taught me about how different organisations operate and how their strategies and stakeholders are affected by business decisions. This course is suitable for any individual who would like to pursue a career in the field of Business as it helps to build a strong foundation for further studies.

WHY STUDY BUSINESS?

BTEC Nationals are designed to provide highly specialist work-related qualifications in a range of vocational sectors. Studying a BTEC in Business will give you the scope to develop a broader understanding of business organisations and practices, providing subject-specific skills and knowledge about markets, customers, finance, marketing, operations, communication, information technology and business strategy. Practical assignments set in reallife business scenarios help you learn, build skills and develop behaviours which you’ll use whatever career you choose in the future.

The BTEC National business course will also give you the knowledge, understanding and skills that you need to prepare for employment. Alternatively, as equivalents to A Level you are able to progress to higher education, degree and professional development programmes.

The BTEC National in business is a two-year, full-time course that meets entry requirements in its own right for learners who want to progress to higher education courses in business areas before entering employment. It can also support learners who want to progress into higher education and degrees, directly to employment in job roles in business or business management and Higher Apprenticeships in the business sector.
