In Year Admissions (i.e. admissions for all year groups) from September 2020 to July 2021
Skinners’ Academy’s Admissions Policy 2020-2021, which can be accessed below, governs our in year admissions for this period. A copy of the Skinners’ Academy Prospectus 2020-2021, some additional information from the prospectus and a brief Skinners’ Academy Admissions FAQ sheet which you may find helpful can be accessed below.
Applications for In Year places at Skinners’ Academy should be made via the admissions team at
Hackney Learning Trust here.
The Academy’s oversubscription criteria (which apply if there are more applications than places) are clearly explained in our Admissions Policy 2020-2021 which can be accessed below.
If you have not been offered a place at Skinners Academy, the law entitles you to appeal against that decision to an Independent Appeal Panel. This panel is completely independent of the school and the Local Authority. The appeals are held in Hackney.
If you wish to appeal, please click here to complete your appeal online. Please do NOT use ANY other appeal form or send your form to your local authority. It is suggested that you download the explanatory booklet about appeals here which you should read before you complete the appeal form.
You should include any evidence or supporting material with your appeal form and you MUST give the grounds for your appeal at the time you lodge your appeal form. Your appeal form will not be accepted unless you state the grounds for your appeal. You may appeal for more than one school.
Please note that the online form will ask you to download two utility bills dated in the last THREE months. If you do not have access to a scanner, please take two photographs with a mobile phone and upload the photographic files.
Depending on the situation at the time, your appeal could be heard online instead of a face to face meeting at the school. Full details will be sent to you with your invitation to the hearing.
