MUSIC
WHY STUDY MUSIC?
As you have already achieved grade 5 in your chosen instrument (not voice) and your grade 5 theory qualification, you are now ready for the next step in your journey as a musician.
Through rigorous theoretical analysis, intensive instrument study, and a comprehensive programme of composition, this course is designed to allow you to gain a much deeper understanding and love of music, with an emphasis on western classical styles.
By the end of this course, you will be:
-
performing at a grade 7 level (at least) on your chosen instrument (not voice);
-
able to analyse, in detail, orchestral music using a score or by listening;
