D of E Gold

On 11-15 July, Year 13 students undertook their assessed D of E Gold Award expedition in Brecon Beacons, Wales.

The students did incredibly well, showing good navigation, fitness and resilience to trek for eight-hours a day across the Welsh mountains.

For most students this will be the final hurdle in their completion of the prestigious Gold Award. They started back in September 2021 and have spent 18 months completing their physical, skills, volunteering and residential sections. This was along with a practice expedition last year.
