Some of you may have noticed that our much anticipated *annual* (not so annual- thanks Covid!) *2022 Musical Production* of !!Footloose!! didn’t go ahead as planned in March🙁!
Do not worry!! We postponed it- you can still buy tickets to come and enjoy and support our cast (25 pupils from Y7-Y10) for their *live shows* in the Academy’s Theatre Space from *7pm* on:

Footloose is set in 80's America. It follows the story of Ren (Stephen, Y9) and his mother (Cansu, Y10). They move from Chicago to a small farming town, he is prepared for the inevitable adjustment period at his new high school. But he’s not prepared for the rigorous local edicts, including a ban on dancing instituted by the local preacher (Oskar, Y8), who is determined to exercise control over the town’s youth (Yara, Y7; Mercedes, Y10; Maya, Y10; Angelina, Y7; Sophie Y10; Clifford, Y8 etc.). When the reverend’s rebellious daughter (Sienna, Y10) sets her sights on Ren , her nasty boyfriend Chuck (Dante, Y10), tries to sabotage Ren’s reputation, with many of the locals eager to believe the worst about the new kid.
Footloose celebrates the wisdom of listening to young people while guiding them with a warm heart and open mind.
