16-19 TUITION FUND

The 16 to 19 tuition fund is one-off funding for the 2021 to 2022 academic year only. It is ring fenced for strategies specifically targeted to mitigate the disruption to learning arising from coronavirus (COVID-19).

In accordance with the guidance, the sixth form is prioritising support for students who have experienced additional disruption to learning and are identified as being from an area of high deprivation.  Students who are currently working below their target grades and meet this criterion will be targeted for additional support.

We will be implementing a referral system to match students to subject specialist tutors for individualised one-to-one support.

We will monitor and report on the impact of sessions utilising both ongoing qualitative feedback and quantitative data around attendance, engagement and progress.

Students will be prioritised for small group/one-to-one tuition based as follows:

1:1 tuition or small group support sessions for those students:

• With an Education, Health and Care (EHC) Plan

• With special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)

• Currently working below their target grade

• Identified as being from an area of high deprivation
