Ofsted

Ofsted is the Office for Standards in Education, Children's Services and Skills. It reports directly to Parliament and is independent and impartial.

Following a full Ofsted inspection in April 2026, we are proud to share that Skinners' Academy achieved the 'Expected' standard in every area of the inspection framework.

Highlights from the Ofsted Report

Inspectors noted that:

  • "The curriculum is broad and ambitious."
  • "Leaders foster an inclusive culture across the school."
  • "Classrooms, corridors and social times are calm and safe."
  • "Pupils feel safe at school."
  • "Behaviour is typically sensible and mature, and pupils work hard in class."
  • "They are well prepared for the next stages of their lives."

The inspection report reflects the hard work and dedication of our pupils, staff, governors, families and wider community, and confirms that Skinners' Academy continues to provide an education that prepares young people exceptionally well for the next stage of their lives.
