Congratulations to all of our top set Year 10 maths students who took part in the Intermediate Mathematical Challenge at the end of January 2026 — and what an outstanding set of results they achieved!

Organised by the UK Mathematics Trust, the Intermediate Mathematical Challenge is a 60-minute, 25 multiple-choice competition designed to promote mathematical reasoning, precision of thought and fluency. The challenge encourages students to think deeply and apply their problem-solving skills in creative ways.

Our students rose to the occasion, earning an impressive collection of awards. Gold certificates were awarded to:

  • Eleanor P
  • Nana D
  • Huey O
  • Carlos A
  • Macey S
  • Milla T

A special congratulations goes to Eleanor, who achieved Best in School — a fantastic accomplishment. Well done, Eleanor!

In addition to the six Gold certificates, students also secured six Silver and twelve Bronze awards, making this an amazing result for the year group.

The Gold certificate winners have now been invited to take part in the prestigious Pink Kangaroo round on 19 March. We wish them the very best of luck as they continue their mathematical journey.

An incredible achievement — well done to all involved!
