Year 11 Summer Examinations

As we approach the summer examination period, we would like to share key information to help ensure all Year 11 pupils are fully prepared.

Examination Timetables & Revision Support

  • Each pupil has received their individual examination timetable.
  • Revision sessions will take place during the school day immediately before each exam.
  • These sessions are designed to provide focused preparation and last-minute guidance.
  • A full schedule of all exams and revision sessions is available for reference.

Revision & Wellbeing

We strongly encourage pupils to:

  • Follow a structured revision plan.
  • Make full use of school-provided resources.
  • Attend any holiday or intervention sessions.

Equally important is maintaining a healthy balance:

  • Eat well and stay hydrated
  • Get enough sleep
  • Take regular breaks, including fresh air and exercise

We recognise this can be a stressful time and appreciate your support in helping your child manage their workload effectively.

Attendance & School Expectations

  • Pupils are expected to attend school as normal until all exams are completed (unless stated otherwise).
  • Maintaining routine, teacher access, and structured revision will support success.

Punctuality and Attendance During Exams

  • Pupils must arrive by 8:15 AM each day.
  • Morning exams begin promptly at 8:30 AM.
  • Pupils must attend all scheduled exams unless seriously ill.
  • Lateness may result in being unable to sit an exam, which could severely impact final grades.
  • In cases of illness:
    • Medical evidence is required.
    • Only exceptional circumstances will be considered.
    • Missed exams without valid evidence will result in a mark of zero.

Exam Regulations & Malpractice

All pupils must follow strict examination regulations:

  • No mobile phones, smartwatches, earbuds, or headphones
  • Equipment must be in a clear plastic pencil case (no branding or patterns)
  • Water bottles must be clear with labels removed
  • No talking or communication during exams
  • Follow all invigilator instructions at all times

Failure to comply may result in disqualification. Full examination guidelines are available for reference.

Final Arrangements & Celebrations

  • Pupils are not required to attend school after completing their final exam.
  • A celebration assembly will take place on Monday 15th June (after the Physics exam).
  • The Year 11 Prom will be held on Friday 19th June.
