Year 13 Summer Examinations

As we approach the summer examination period, we would like to share key information to help ensure all Year 13 students are fully prepared and supported.

Examination Timetables & Revision Support

Students have access to their individual examination timetables.

  • Revision sessions will take place before selected exams during the school day.
  • These sessions are designed to provide focused preparation and final guidance.
  • A full timetable of exams and revision sessions is available for reference.

Revision & Wellbeing

We strongly encourage students to:

  • Follow a structured and realistic revision plan
  • Make full use of school resources and materials
  • Attend all scheduled revision and intervention sessions

Maintaining wellbeing is just as important:

  • Eat regularly and stay hydrated
  • Get sufficient sleep each night
  • Take regular breaks, including time outdoors and physical activity

We recognise this is a demanding time and appreciate your support in helping students maintain a healthy balance.

Attendance & Study Expectations

Students are expected to attend all lessons, revision sessions, and exams until the end of the examination period.

  • Maintaining routine and access to staff will support performance
  • Independent study should complement, not replace, attendance in school

Punctuality and Attendance During Exams

  • Students must arrive by 8:15 AM each day
  • Morning exams begin promptly at 8:30 AM
  • All exams must be attended unless there are exceptional circumstances

Lateness can result in students being unable to sit an exam, which may significantly affect their final grade.

In cases of illness:

  • Medical evidence will be required
  • Only genuine and exceptional cases will be considered
  • Missed exams without valid evidence may result in a mark of zero

Exam Regulations & Malpractice

Students must follow all examination regulations:

  • No mobile phones, smartwatches, earbuds, or headphones
  • Equipment must be in a clear pencil case
  • Water bottles must be clear with labels removed
  • No communication during exams
  • All invigilator instructions must be followed

Failure to comply may lead to disqualification.

Final Arrangements

Students are only required to attend school for scheduled exams and essential sessions once their taught lessons have concluded. Further details regarding the end of term arrangements and any leavers’ events will be shared in due course.
