Year 13 Students Attend “Classroom to Boardroom” Event with Deloitte

Our students returned inspired and full of confidence after taking part in the Debate Mate Plus “Classroom to Boardroom” event with Deloitte. The day proved to be a tremendous success, offering pupils a rare opportunity to step into a professional environment and work directly with some of the UK’s most senior business leaders. 

Throughout the afternoon, students participated in interactive debates, leadership challenges, and fast-paced problem-solving tasks, collaborating in mixed teams alongside Deloitte Partners. Their challenge: to develop and pitch innovative solutions to real technology-focused issues currently facing global industries. Each team presented their ideas in a competitive pitch session, and several of our pupils were selected to showcase their solutions on the main stage — an impressive achievement in front of senior professionals.

We are incredibly proud of how our students represented the academy. Their enthusiasm, maturity, and willingness to take on new challenges were noted by the Deloitte team and Debate Mate facilitators.

This event has not only strengthened their debating and public-speaking skills but has also given them a clear sense that they can be the future leaders shaping business, technology, and society.
