Prize Giving 2021

On 18 November, Skinners’ Academy saw the return of our Prize Giving ceremony, celebrating the fantastic achievements of our pupils from the 2020-2021 academic year.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Skinners' Academy's annual Prize Giving ceremony was cancelled last year. The confirmation that this year's ceremony was able to go ahead was truly welcomed.

Prizes on the night were presented by the Master of The Skinners’ Company, Professor Sarah Stallebrass. Prize were awarded to pupils for progress in subject areas, excelling in sports and music, overall academic achievement and services to the Academy (in honour of our recently departed teacher Ms M Jackson).

This year saw the addition of the ‘Skinners’ Way’ prize which was awarded to Rimshah A, Year 12, for holding the Academy’s core values in high regard and demonstrating them consistently and to the highest standard.

The evening included performances from the school choir, steel band, and a beautiful piano piece by Ken W, Year 10.

Thank you to everyone who joined us on the night to celebrate our pupils’ achievements including parents, staff, Skinners' Company court members, and Skinners' Academy governors.
