A group of our students recently visited Queen Mary University of London for an exciting and academically focused day designed to support their GCSE Maths success and broaden their understanding of higher education.

The visit formed part of our ongoing commitment to provide students with enriching learning experiences beyond the classroom. Throughout the day, students took part in three masterclasses led by university academics, each focusing on challenging GCSE Maths topics. These sessions were designed to deepen subject knowledge, strengthen problem‑solving skills, and build confidence ahead of their upcoming exams.

In addition to the academic sessions, students enjoyed a lively Q&A with current university students, gaining first-hand insight into university life, study habits, course choices, and the transition from school to higher education. Their questions sparked thoughtful discussions and encouraged students to reflect on their own future pathways.

The trip concluded with a guided tour of the Queen Mary campus, giving students the opportunity to explore lecture theatres, study spaces, and social areas while learning more about university facilities and opportunities.

We are proud of how engaged and enthusiastic our students were throughout the day, and we look forward to offering more experiences that raise aspirations and support academic excellence.
